Important Information- the 2020 Season
Ahoy Pirates,
I know many of you are wondering if we are starting practice on Monday.
The answer to that is no. We will not start practice on Monday May 18th.
The SAIL Executive Board will meet on Monday, and we may get some new directions at following that meeting. For now, we do not have a practice start date. It could be as early as May 19th or as late as June 1st.
We do know that the season will look differently than previous years. One thing that has already been determined is that SAIL will not hold C&C this season.
We know that you have concerns (as do we) regarding the season during a pandemic and we understand that. We do ask that if you think your swimmer(s) wants to participate in the SAIL season this summer, however it may look, please go to the website and register your swimmer(s) NOW so that we can give a good headcount to SAIL for insurance and splash fees. We also know that once we have more clear information, the season may not work for your family. If that is the case, we understand the need to cancel your registration. For that reason, no money is due at this time! We can take check or credit/debit card payments later. When you register, the only option for payment is pay by check. Once we are together at the pool, we can accept checks or credit/debit cards for fees.
We are looking at creative ways to hold practices when the time comes that we can get in the water. We need to do this and still be able to comply with DHEC recommendations and pool capacity requirements. We will update you as soon as we know what that plan is.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Dixie Nance or Katie Lynes at [email protected].
We look forward to seeing you all very soon. In the meantime, start conditioning now by walking, running or doing other cardio exercises.
See you soon, mateys!
Dixie & Katie
